These are the images i took for my test shots, i used my friend Emma as my model. The genre of my magazine is indie/pop so i wanted her to look quite casual but smart at the same time, i wanted her to be comfortable with what she was wearing so we opted for a shirt/vest combo with leggings and vans. The images that i have chosen to put on here are the ones i liked the best out of the 40/50 we took, we will be taking some more test shots this week as i think we can improve on poses and technique etc. The shots i like most are mid-length/long shots, so we will be experimenting with them shots when we take our other pictures, i think i'll try out different styles and make-up next time as i want to go for a different look and see what style suits Emma and the artist she is representing.
Discuss how you feel about these test shots ... I think they are a great start but you may want to take some more, with your model in a different outfit and in a greater range of poses, before you take your final shots.
